Description: Mobile Phone Issues - What Risks Are Associated with Their Use by our Youth
Mobile phones are now as much a part of our lives as computers, the Internet. As a means of communication they are more used than fixed line phones. They providetelecommunications to people without the constraints of a fixed line telephone, for example those without a fixed address or without a credit history. Mobile telecommunications can help us live our lives more efficiently. They cut down the need to travel, reduce business costs and can be a vital safety device. And of course people enjoy using them, especially our youth. But is the use of mobile phones a risk free experience for our youth? This paper examines some of the risks associatedwith mobile phone ownership and what can be done to mitigate these risks.
